Wellspring Corporate Partner of the Year Award Recipient: Nintendo of America Inc.

Few words are as synonymous as Nintendo and video games. However, here at Wellspring Family Services, Nintendo of America Inc. has an additional affiliation; one based on the company’s long, generous history of giving to the children and families of Seattle and King County. Jacqualee Story, Nintendo’s Executive Vice President of Business Affairs, remembers the first time she became involved with Wellspring nearly fifteen years ago while volunteering with her son Reid at the Baby Boutique:

“I vividly recall the gratitude and happiness of a mom who came in to shop for her beautiful baby and toddler that first day,” says Jacqualee. “Just thinking about the many children headed back to school right now, we’re thrilled that we can support the Baby Boutique. Nintendo is proud to be associated with an organization that does so much for children and their families – especially this time of year.”

In 2002, Nintendo made its first corporate donation to Wellspring. Since then, Nintendo has gone above and beyond to support Wellspring by consistently bringing in donations to the Baby Boutique, sponsoring the annual Luncheon, and donating a portion of proceeds from its own holiday charity auction to the Baby Boutique each year. The depth of this long-standing relationship continually increases Wellspring’s local impact, making Nintendo of America Inc. the perfect choice for this year’s Wellspring Corporate Partnership Award.

Thank you Jacqualee and Nintendo of America Inc! Your commitment has helped countless children and their families in the King County area.
