Developed and taught by experienced practitioners, this six-hour, lecture-and video-based educational workshop is designed for therapists who address suicide in diverse clinical settings from emergency assessment to long-term psychotherapy. The Matt Adler Suicide Assessment, Treatment & Management Act requires that professionals licensed in the state of Washington complete a training program in suicide assessment, treatment, and management. You are invited to be legally compliant with this new law and become more confident when working with suicidal clients by registering for one of Wellspring Counseling’s four Seattle workshops in 2017. Topics include:

  • Managing personal responses
  • Establishing a therapeutic alliance
  • Creating a framework for conceptualizing suicide
  • Conducting a risk assessment
  • Crisis planning and ongoing monitoring
  • Treatment planning
