Most people begin psychotherapy when their usual methods of coping with life are no longer working. The death of a loved one, divorce, illness, the birth of a new baby, or an ongoing sense of isolation and hopelessness are some of the reasons a person might seek professional help.

To help you explore your concerns, thoughts and feelings, I will provide a safe and respectful environment where we can work together to better understand how your past experience impacts how you currently respond to life’s situations. With new coping strategies, informed by a deeper self-awareness, I believe you will feel empowered to make the changes you want in your life.

A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy, I bring over 20 years of experience to the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I work with adult individuals, couples, and families with young children. Trained in Infant Mental Health, I facilitate Listening Mothers groups and Reflective Parenting workshops. As a Bringing Baby Home facilitator and with training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, I work with couples integrating both perspectives. I also incorporate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in my practice. My sub-specialty is in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders.

Because of my focus on the transition to parenthood, I developed Wellspring's New Parents Services, an educational and therapeutic parenting center in Bellevue, WA to help support healthy pregnancy and transition to parenthood.

A special interest of mine is in cross-cultural adjustments, including living in a new country, being in relationship with someone from a different culture, and raising bi-cultural children. My native language is French.

Change can start today. I welcome speaking with you by phone to answer any questions you may have about working with me.
