Joe Nguyen Joins Wellspring Family Services as VP of Strategy
SEATTLE (April 21, 2022) Wellspring Family Services, a Seattle-based nonprofit focused on ending family homelessness, welcomes Joe Nguyen as its new Vice President of Strategy. Nguyen will help advance effective planning, business modeling, contracts, and collaborative relationships critical to fulfilling the nonprofit’s mission.
According to Wellspring Chief Executive Officer Heather Fitzpatrick, “Wellspring is delighted to have Joe move from an outside advisor and long-time supporter of the organization to a member of our staff. He is the right person for our team at just the right time. Demand for services is soaring, and Joe is the right person to ensure Wellspring has the resources required to deliver effective services in a sustainable way.”
Nguyen joins Wellspring after nearly a decade at Microsoft with a background in strategy, finance, and analytics. Joe’s passion for alleviating homelessness is driven by his experience with housing instability while growing up and was inspired by a former professor and long-time homelessness advocate, Bill Hobson, while at Seattle University. Joe is an active community leader, and proudly served on Wellspring’s board of directors and chaired the organization’s Associate Board. He currently serves as the State Senator from the 34th legislative district.

Wellspring provides eviction prevention, housing location, and rental assistance, a trauma-informed early learning program, mental health support, employee assistance, and a free store providing clothing, diapers, and basic needs for ages birth to 17.
