April is National Volunteer Month! We celebrate all of the incredible volunteers at Wellspring that help us serve children and families in our community.
To the children in the Early Learning Center, she is “The Story Lady,” which also makes her a bona fide rock star. Suzanne Davis started at Wellspring's Morningsong program in 2000 as a childcare outreach librarian through the Seattle Public Library. Even though the program ended in 2005, she has continued to visit Wellspring monthly to share children’s books, songs, poems and finger plays.
Suzanne’s positive personality and love for children’s book endears her to our teachers, staff and, most of all, the children. As soon as she arrives, eyes widen, smiles grow and the fun begins--bright reminders that The Story Lady is helping each girl and boy to listen, learn and grow.
How you can volunteer
Want to make a positive impact in our community? Host or participate in a donation drive for Wellspring! Each year, we rely on countless supporters to ensure that children and families in crisis have access to the essential items they need.
We are currently accepting hygeine items for our Fresh Start drive
. You can review our wish list
for ideas of which items to collect. And when you bring your items in to Wellspring, we'll give you a private tour to show you how your support impacts others. For info on our future drives, check out our 2016 Donation Drive Calendar
