It’s hard to believe that it’s already that time of the year again—the time where we look back over the past 124 years with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment, while also looking ahead to the unwritten potential of a new year, and all that we can achieve together for children and families in crisis.
Thanks to the unwavering support of so many in our community, we were able to help thousands of children and families access the support that all individuals need to overcome adversity and achieve positive, permanent change in their lives. It was so inspiring to watch these changes unfold in 2014 for our clients, and to see them return in 2015 with a new level of confidence, optimism, and determination to take the next positive step forward.
At Wellspring, we are filled with this same sense of optimism and determination as we commit to our goals and resolutions for 2015. Together, we will aspire to:
1. Help more than 4,000 children and families in crisis triumph over trauma.
As our community expands, so does the need for more equitable access to resources and opportunity for all members of our community to grow and thrive. For more than 120 years, Wellspring has been a source of hope for children and families during periods of change. This year, we will focus on expanding our capacity, to help even more children and families reach their full potential through a constellation of wrap-around services.
2. Help more than 100 vulnerable children prepare for kindergarten—and beyond.
Our programs for young children dealing with the negative effects of trauma and toxic stress are at the core of what we do, and we’re on the cusp of taking our reach even further. With our Early Learning Center’s rich curriculum and dedicated program staff, we will continue to invest in the development of young minds, so that the children in our ELC have the opportunity to flourish in school – and in life.
3. Inspire YOU to join us as we create powerful change in our community.
We are fortunate to live and work in such a generous and compassionate city and region, and look forward to working with you as we embark on a year of awareness, advocacy, and growth for Wellspring’s mission in our community. There many different ways that donors and friends can lend their time, talent, and financial support each year to help thousands of children and families rebuild their lives, and by doing so, strengthen the region we all call home.
Thanks to you—our supporters, friends, and advocates—for making 2014 a year to remember. Here’s to 2015, and all that we will accomplish, together.
