Resident Support Services

Stability in Housing, Support for the Long Term

Affordable housing is a critical foundation, but stability requires more than a place to live.

Through Resident Stability Services, Wellspring partners with housing communities to provide the support residents need to stay housed, navigate challenges, and build lasting stability for themselves, their families, and our communities.

Meeting residents where they are

Every housing community is different, and so are the needs of the residents who live there.

That’s why our work begins with listening. Through an on-site presence, relationship building and community engagement, we identify what support is needed most and respond with services that are tailored, flexible and accessible.

Addressing urgent needs

For many residents, financial challenges, especially unpaid rent, can quickly put housing at risk.

Our Expedited Recovery Services help relieve that immediate pressure by working with residents and partners to resolve arrears and create manageable paths forward.

This may include:

  • Payment forgiveness
  • Flexible payment plans
  • Financial support from partners

Alongside this, residents are connected to financial coaching and support to help prevent future instability.

Building long-term stability

Stability doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built over time with consistent support and access to resources.

Our Empowerment Services provide holistic, ongoing support tailored to each community. Services include:

  • Financial coaching, credit building, and savings support
  • Employment and education guidance
  • Resume and job readiness support
  • Parenting resources and family support
  • Workshops on tenant rights, workplace skills, and technology
  • Community events, resource fairs, and youth activities

These services help residents move beyond immediate challenges and begin planning for the future.
