2021 Wellspring Children and Teen Gift Drive
You can bring joy to a child today! Gifts for infants, toddlers and teens needed most.
The annual Wellspring Family Services Children & Teen Gift Drive, part of the Giving Together campaign, is off to a great start. Thank you to all who have given so generously! With many families facing homelessness in the Puget Sound area, we’ve set our goal to provide 1,500 gifts to 750 children this year.
Items from our wish lists are steadily arriving, but the demand from local families has been great and our gift drive needs your help. Our infant (ages 0-3) and teen (13-17) groups are experiencing a shortage of these items:
Infant Items:
Soft learning toys
Musical toys
Duplo Building Block Sets
Teething toys
Interactive baby toys
Teen Items:
Makeup Kits
Sportswear
Purses/mini backpacks
Gift cards
Kindle E-Readers
According to Wellspring Family Store Program Manager Karly Lee, “We have received gift requests for over 1,500 children (530 families) so far. As of today, we’ve notified 140 families that holiday gifts are available for their children. What we currently have will leave us short to meet this year’s growing need for children’s gifts.”
Here are a few easy ways to spread joy this holiday season:
If you would like to shop for gifts on your own and drop them off at Wellspring, we welcome you to do so until December 20.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Address: 1900 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98144
Thank you to our wonderful community. Together we can make a positive impact for families and children this year.
